Gradus Score

Teachers see what each student needs.

After a student practises, the teacher sees that student's practice, progress, scores and analysis.

A pilot looks at three things: whether the teacher can say what each student needs, whether the analysis matches what the teacher sees, and whether the student keeps practising.

A teacher opens the platform to a student.

Practice

What was done, when, and how much

Progress

Which topics are moving, and which are still weak

Scores

The score of each practice and each paper

Analysis

What this student needs now

  • A class is these students added together. An average does not replace a person.
  • Marking still happens. The score enters the four items above. For a school, this is not “marking on the teacher's behalf”.

School platform

Sign-in: email and password. Single sign-on comes later.

[待換:the school platform]

Admin

Seats (used / remaining), import by CSV or invite code, whole-school usage, bilingual invoices. In the first release, Gradus marks payment by hand.

Teacher

Sees only their own classes, and can open each student's practice, progress, scores and analysis. Notes are read-only. A teacher can flag one marking.

Student

The school creates the school account. The same email can also have a personal account. Records and charges stay separate. Teachers see only the school account.

The next pilot.

Pilot seats are free, in exchange for feedback on whether the per-student analysis is useful.

The school gets teacher onboarding, the four items for each student, and an interface in Traditional Chinese, English and Simplified Chinese.

Procurement list

Personal data

Privacy policy and terms in Traditional Chinese, English and Simplified Chinese, with school and personal use kept apart. Under 15s need a parent's consent. A data-processing agreement template is available. Export or deletion is handled within 30 days. Accounts are kept while in use, and for 2 years after the last activity.

Hosting

Hong Kong is primary. Disaster recovery is in Singapore. Encrypted in transit and at rest, with daily backups. Schools are separated. Staff use two-factor authentication.

AI

Vendors may not train on student data. Each call maps to that attempt. Flagged marking is reviewed. What changes is the later scheme.

Next, and not yet held: ISO 27001 and an independent penetration test.

The EDB gives each publicly funded school a one-off HK$500,000, usable through 31 August 2028, for AI teaching tools under its guidelines. The school remains accountable. This is not a statement that the grant covers Gradus Score.

Questions

Devices?

iPad and Android tablets. Not phones.

Can a teacher change a score?

Not in the first release. They can flag it. The score stays.

Special educational needs?

The first release has no SEN animation. The same subject paper can be followed by targeted practice at a different difficulty. Animation is on the roadmap.

Will student work train a model?

Under the contract, no.

The contract?

An annual agreement per seat. A school student account in use occupies one seat. Invoices are bilingual.
