Privacy policy
Counsel will write this before launch. What follows is what the policy must cover. It is not the legal text.
Whose data
Personal users, and schools. A school may be the data user and Gradus the processor, or as counsel finally drafts it.
Collected
Account, year level, language, answers, handwriting, recognised text and formulas, scores, AI explanations, Gradus AI's notes, push tokens, and a personal user's payment receipt.
Uses
Practice, marking, explanation, school reports, billing, support and security.
AI and location
Name the AI vendors, where data is sent, and that student data is not used to train models. Each call maps to that attempt.
Hosting
Hong Kong is primary. Singapore is for disaster recovery. Schools are isolated from each other. Cross-border transfer has to be stated.
Retention
Kept until 2 years after the last activity.
Your rights
Access, correction, export and deletion, handled within 30 days.
Under 15
A parent must consent.
Languages
The privacy policy and the terms must exist in Traditional Chinese, English and Simplified Chinese.
